Global Learning StudioJoin UCF Faculty, in this 3-hour in-person workshop. This workshop will take place Tuesday, October 11th, 1:00 - 4:00pm. Please join a team of UCF technologists in exploring innovative approaches to field-based instruction online. During this workshop, we will introduce you to both live and asynchronous approaches to global learning activities based on case studies at UCF that we have refined over the last 6 years. This hands-on workshop will be divided into two focused areas: experience with a mobile field kit for live instruction and the creation of asynchronous 3D interactives with 360 camera images. To kick off the workshop, participants will be provided with an overview of specific examples of courses that have successfully implemented these instructional activities in pursuit of the Global Learning High Impact Practice (GL HIP) designation at UCF. After a brief demonstration of each technology setup, participants will then have an opportunity to test out the hardware in small groups with both the live field kit as well as 3D interactive production with the 360 cameras. To create your own 3D interactive project, it is highly recommended to bring your own laptop to download a free version of 3DVista during the workshop.
